Anxiety

Anxiety can feel difficult to manage, sometimes its thoughts or beliefs of what will happen after a past experience,thinking or feeling without any evidence that it's true and believing the worst will happen in any situation. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most frequently used method to treat anxiety. This type of therapy focuses on how anxious thought patterns influence your emotions, behavior and relationships.

Stress and Burn Out

Burnout doesn’t look the same for everyone. Often, it begins quietly—you might be struggling with intense symptoms but still finding a way to push through each day. Habits like over-working, perfectionism, and people-pleasing frequently fuel this cycle. You might feel utterly exhausted, disconnected, and stretched too thin, while wondering how to fix it—or perhaps even feeling in denial that it has gone this far. If you recognize yourself in either of these stages, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Evidence-based therapies like CBT, ACT, CFT, and EMDR are highly effective at reducing these symptoms, helping you process the exhaustion, and guiding you safely back to balance.

How Burnout shows up:

Homeschool Parents often feel like they are working two full-time jobs between managing the home, a career as work at home parent or a job outside the home, caregiving responsibilities and acting as a full-time educator things can get stressful and overwhelming.

The stress and overwhelm can show up through:

Exhaustion: Constant lesson planning, teaching, and grading can lead to rapid parental burnout, especially when neglecting personal self-care.

Managing multiple ages: Teaching children across different grade levels simultaneously requires heavy administrative and emotional energy.

Imposter syndrome: Parents frequently worry whether they are qualified to teach, whether they are missing critical content, or how they will handle high school transcripts and college prep.

Lesson resistance: Children can experience frustration with difficult subjects (like math or phonics), leading to power struggles or a stale, uninspiring home-school atmosphere.

Curriculum and material expenses: Buying books, online programs, and supplies adds up quickly, though free or shared resources can help offset costs

Lost income: Many households experience a significant financial hit when one parent reduces work hours or leaves the workforce entirely to teach

“Rules for Self Discovery:
1. What we want most;
2. What we think about most;
3. How we use our money;
4. What we do with our leisure time;
5. The company we enjoy;
6. Who and what we admire;
7. What we laugh at.”
